• What it is: a neutral explorer of two facts CMS publishes for every Medicare and/or Medicaid-certified nursing facility: reported nurse staffing hours per resident per day, and the overall Care Compare star rating. It covers 0 Ohio facilities across 0 counties. Inclusion is a public-record listing fact, not a recommendation; no facility is ranked or described, and Alia Healthcare is not affiliated with any facility listed.
• Where the numbers come from: staffing hours are quarterly averages facilities self-report to CMS through the Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ), republished in the Care Compare Provider Information dataset (dataset 4pq5-n9py). Overall star ratings come from the same dataset. The snapshot is dated 2026-07-01 and was retrieved on 2026-08-22. Every record in /data/facilities-ohio.json carries its own verified date and source URL, and the file's header documents the exact API query and the full refresh workflow.
• Known limitations of these numbers: PBJ hours are facility-wide averages for a quarter; they do not describe any given shift, and they can mask day-to-day and weekend variation. These are the unadjusted reported figures (CMS also publishes case-mix-adjusted and weekend-specific columns that are not shown here). Star ratings are computed by CMS from health inspections, staffing and quality measures, and they lag survey events. Where CMS published no value, this page shows “–”. Values are never guessed or zero-filled.
• Before you decide anything based on a facility, including accepting a job there, confirm its current record on Medicare.gov Care Compare. CMS updates staffing and ratings on its own cycle, and this page is a point-in-time reproduction, not a live feed.
