CPR Certification

Alia Healthcare offers Healthcare Provider certification in standard First Aid, CPR, and AED (automated external defibrillator). This is an approved National Safety Council program, designed for emergency response teams, safety personnel, supervisors, and individuals requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification. This is also an excellent program for anyone in the general public who wants to learn lifesaving skills.

Our 4-hour course will teach you how to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR in breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants. Instruction includes how to act in an emergency; how to care for wounds and bleeding, prevent disease transmission, and how to sustain life in other sudden health emergencies until professional help arrives.

The program ranges from basic first aid to cardiac emergencies and uses a full-color workbook and a First Aid quick reference guide, along with step-by-step, easy to follow and remember DVD video demonstrations.

The CPR certification course is offered at the Alia Healthcare campus on Saturday mornings, from 8am to 12 noon. Course-completion cards for both Basic Life Support CPR and basic First Aid are given at the close of the class. These cards are nationally recognized. The CPR card is valid for 2 years, and the basic First Aid card is valid for 3 years.
