Tuition and Fee Policies

Effective January 2015
  • Payment Due Date

    Students must pay tuition, all fees, and prior balances by the due date listed on the Statement of Account. This includes the first installment of the Tuition Payment Plan Option.

  • Late Payment Fees
    • $5 per day for failure to pay by the payment due date (see #1 above)
    • Increases to $10 per day for failure to pay by close of business on the first Friday of classes

    • In addition, students will be assessed:
      • $25 for each class dropped or rescheduled 2-5 days prior to the start of classes
      • $50 for each class dropped or rescheduled the day prior to the start of classes
  • Drop for Non-Payment

    Students who have not paid tuition, all fees, and prior term balances by the close of business on the third day of classes will be droppedb> from all enrollments for non-payment.

  • Re-enrollment Fee

    Students dropped for non-payment will be assessed a $50 fee to re-enroll in addition to any incurred late fees.

  • Forfeitures and Refunds

    Dropping or withdrawing from courses may result in a reassessment of charges and/or a recalculation of financial assistance for the period of the course.

Alia Healthcare Services believes that the expectation of both the student and the training center is that the fee assessment and penalty process should be fair and equitable and have meaningful and uniformly applied consequences for those who do not register and pay in a timely manner.

Students are required to agree to a Statement of Financial Responsibility online through their Student Account prior to enrolling in courses each time. By agreeing to the terms of the statement, students acknowledge financial responsibility related to the cost of attendance at Alia Healthcare Services as well as financial responsibility to pay any additional incurred fees, fines or penalties, and the repercussions and responsibility involved in the debt collections process.

Forfeiture Fees

You will be assessed forfeiture fees if you are any student who withdraws or drops after the 100% refund period. The Forfeiture Fee schedule applies to Instructional Fees, General Fees, Program Fees, Application Fees, Registration Fees, Laboratory Fees, Clinical Fees, and Course Fees (This may not be a comprehensive list). The 100% Forfeiture Fee dates apply to all fees.

State Tested Nurse Aide Sections

    • For STNA Classes
      • No Forfeiture (100% Refund Period): Through the day prior to the first day of classes
      • No Forfeiture (100% Refund): All merchandise (books, uniforms, watches, shoes, etc.) paid but not received
      • 50% Forfeiture (50% Refund Period): Through the end of the first day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): After the first day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): Deposit
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): All merchandise (books, uniforms, watches, shoes, etc.) paid and received
    • For STNA Part-Time Morning Classes
      • No Forfeiture (100% Refund Period): Through the day prior to the first day of classes
      • 25% Forfeiture (75% Refund Period): Through the end of the second day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): After the second day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): Deposit
    • For STNA Part-Time Afternoon Classes
      • No Forfeiture (100% Refund Period): Through the day prior to the first day of classes
      • 25% Forfeiture (75% Refund Period): Through the end of the second day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): After the second day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): Deposit
    • For STNA Part-Time Evening Classes
      • No Forfeiture (100% Refund Period): Through the day prior to the first day of classes
      • 25% Forfeiture (75% Refund Period): Through the end of the first day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): After the first day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): Deposit
    • For STNA Part-Time Weekend Classes
      • No Forfeiture (100% Refund Period): Through the day prior to the first day of classes
      • 25% Forfeiture (75% Refund Period): Through the end of the first day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): After the first day of classes
      • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): Deposit

For All CPR/First Aid Classes

    • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund, No Reschedule, No Transfer )

For All Certified Home Health Aide Classes

    • No Forfeiture (100% Refund Period): Through the day prior to the first day of classes
    • No Forfeiture (100% Refund): All merchandise (books, uniforms, watches, shoes, etc.) paid but not received
    • 50% Forfeiture (50% Refund Period): Through the end of the first day of classes
    • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): After the first day of classes
    • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): Deposit
    • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): All merchandise (books, uniforms, watches, shoes, etc.) paid and received

For All Train-The-Trainer Classes

    • No Forfeiture (100% Refund Period): Through the day prior to the first day of classes
    • 50% Forfeiture (50% Refund Period): Through the end of the first day of classes
    • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): After the first day of classes
    • 100% Forfeiture (No Refund): Deposit
